Roc2c would like to congratulate Estudio.entresitio by winning 2014 FIRST PRIZE COAM (Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid), with #house # 1.130, it was a great pleasure for us to share our paving experience in this special project.

Our work consisted in paving a 106 sqm. driveway and exterior pedestrian areas.

PRIMER PREMIO COAM 2014

Street Campo dos Martires da Pátria / Jardim da Cordoaria in Traditional Portuguese Pavement with white stone and granite paved road

Oporto - Campo dos Mártires da Pátria

North and west of the Clérigos church is the broad Campo dos Mártires da Pátria. A part of it is taken up by the Praça de Lisboa, with its market stalls, while another part holds the beautiful Jardim de Joao Chagas (Jardim da Cordoaria). On the south side stands the old prison (18th C.), and at the northwest corner the Hospital de Santo António (begun 1769). On the north side of the Campo is the University (founded in 1911; previously a technical college), which also has a small Natural History Museum.

In the photo, left, better known as Jardim da Cordoaria. Also known as Campo dos Mártires da Pátria, has the official name of João Chagas Garden.

In the Middle Ages this site became the centre of the cord warners. In 1865 it was transformed into a garden following a desing by the German Landscape gardener, Emil David. It became a very popular meeting place for town people utntil the beginning of the XXth century.

Sá da Bandeira Street - Porto City

Street da Bandeira is a street in the parish of San Ildefonso of Porto, Portugal.
The street was named in honor of Bernardo de Nogueira de Figueiredo, a prominent figure of the Liberal Wars, especially the episode of the Siege of Porto.
Began to be opened in 1836, through land belonging to the priests Gathered aroundabandoned.
The intention of the municipality, to rip this new artery, was to establish a rapid and direct link between the then Square D. Peter Street and Bonjardim. Construction beganin 1836 but only seven years later (1843) have begun to build houses and the first thatrose were those who stayed with the back facing the Viela Congregados.
Eleven years later they turned to the South, because the councilman Elisio de Melodecided to extend the part of Bonjardim Street, between the new Rua de Sá da Bandeira and then called Rua de Santo António.
Once the work was renewed this section considered as a continuation of Rua de Sá da Bandeira and embedded in it and the part that linked Street Bonjardim Square wasgiven the name Bruno Sampaio. The year was 1916. They began the works for the opening of the Avenue of the Aliados.

"2 squares" Cobblestone artistic pavement

Portuguese pavement driveway

Our latest work, was to pave access to private housing in cobblestone. The major area was made of blue granite, also combined white and pink limestone and black basalt.

With a simple and geometric design, a progression of squares, combining the different stones, their colors and textures, we managed to produce a beautiful aesthetic effect.
