Sátão ( Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈsatɐ̃w] ) is a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 201.9 km² and a total population of 13,419 inhabitants. The municipality is composed of 12 parishes and is located in the district Viseu . The present mayor is Alexandre Manuel Mendonça Vaz, elected by the Social Democratic Party .
