The neoclassical palace of Lisbon's Town Hall looks out to a square paved with the city's trademark cobbled designs.
The building is open to the public every second and fourth Sunday of the month in guided tours in the morning, but you can always admire it from outside, sitting by the landmark 18th century spiral pillory crowned with a gilt metal sphere.
