The work of Burle Marx to the neighborhood of Copacabana, which includes the preservation of the waves in Portuguese stone along the shore. The landscape remade the original designs of the Portuguese pavers, emphasized their sensuality as the expansion of the pavement and kept parallel with the waves of the sea, which was implemented in 1929 by the reform pavers already qualified in Brazil. In the median of the boulevard and the floor adjacent to buildings, Burle Marx applied new drawings created with black and red (basalt) and white (limestone) rocks.
