Elizabeth of Aragon also known as Saint Elizabeth of Portugal (1271 – 4 July 1336) (Elisabet in Catalan, Isabel in Aragonese, Portuguese and Spanish) was queen consort of Portugal and is a saint of the Roman Catholic Church.
Coimbra University history
The history of the University of Coimbra back to the century following the very foundation of the Portuguese nation, since the University was established in the thirteenth century, in 1290.
But first, in 1288, was drafted a Petition to Pope Nicholas IV (which only knows the shuttle)dated 17 November 1288 and signed by the abbots of monasteries of Alcobaça, Santa Cruz de Coimbra and S. Vicente de Lisboa and the top 24 churches and convents of the kingdom.
